Bob King is a twenty-four year old law student at Syracuse University. He was born and raised in upstate New York, about twenty miles east of Rochester. He was a three sport athlete in high school and captain of his college soccer team. He began sailing at the 60^th Anniversary Lightning regatta in Skeneateles, where he crewed for his uncle, Jed Dodge. Since then he has been a regular in the Central New York District. He has also sailed in several midwinter, national and international events in a Lightning. Last year Bob began skippering after several years of crewing. He campaigned Jim MacIntosh’s boat, Blue Jacket XI, for most of the season.
 

Bill Healy, age twenty, studies economics at Hobart College in Geneva, New York. He has been a member of Hobart’s sailing team for the past three years, including 2003 when Hobart claimed the collegiate national championship. Bill traces his sailing roots to Sodus Bay Junior Sailing Association and the Lightning class. He sailed his first Lightning North American Championship in 2000 at age fourteen and his first Lightning World Championship a year later, both with skipper Bob Wardwell. Bill is also a recognized ski racer, having won a state championship in high school and now anchoring Hobart’s ski team.
