 Green Bay Sailing Club
Lightning Fleet 112
Sailed on Green Bay

Saturdays races were raced in a light easterly with wind speeds in the range of 4 to 8 mph. There were 4 windward/leeward races making the starts and first legs critical.

There were 3 boats, which traded the top positions and kept the racing close.

In the first two races Tim Monday and Ric Larson traded top spots dominating the fleet.

For the third race Ric was forced to the right side and sailed into a 30-degree header and played catch up the rest of the race. Tim Monday had his problems also by hitting the RC boat while finishing the race. Mike Kulkoski won this race.

In the 4th race Ric Larson broke away from the line in clear air and wasn’t challenged after that.

Sunday’s races were raced in lighter air and were dominated by Mark Boncher and his team who used local knowledge to win the races.

Congratulations to Ric Larson and crew for winning.
