Each year the Lightning Ohio District awards a Governor’s Cup to the skipper with the four top finishes in the Ohio regatta circuit.  Nine skippers qualified.  This year the Cup came down to James Taylor (Cowan) and Tom Varley (Mansfield) on the final Sunday of races at the Cowan Fall-In regatta.  In the last two races Jim and Tom each had a 1^st and 3^rd.  Tom won the regatta and Jim finished within three boats of Tom to cause a tie for the Cup.  Based on a tie break, Jim won the Cup with three regatta wins.  He wins the Cup for a second year in a row.  Congratulations Jim.
