Fleet 50 Lightnings for sale

Price Reduction!  Price Reduction!  $4,000

#14096 - Grey Ghost -- Nabeel's old boat, has been with Drew Hudson for 3 years.  Nabeel says, "Like all early 14000 series Nickels Lightnings, she is modern and solid and 98 percent as fast as any Lightning.   The best decision I made when getting into the Lightning class was to buy a boat like her that I could go race with right away instead of getting bogged down with a project. "

Drew says, "I just want to let you know that we've decided to sell Grey Ghost and would appreciate it if you could let everyone know.  It's a sad decision but we just aren't sailing much anymore.  I'm hoping to crew on Lightnings for a while with one of the fleets up here in Connecticut, if all goes well.  I'm asking $6,000 (now $4000)  with two sets of sails and trailer, etc.  I want to see if anyone down there in DC is interested in her before advertising up here.  I think it would be nice to see her go back to the fleet.  I can meet someone half way." dhudson06@gmail.com

#3343 - Little Bit --1948 wooden Lightning with a fiberglassed hull.  Hull is dark green, interior is varnished mahogany, and mast is painted red. The boat was fully restored 10 years ago and has been kept up throughout the last ten years.  Mast needs painting and there is some small fiberglass patching needs with the hull.  The boat comes with an old mainsail, which is in fair to poor condition, and a jib, which is in good condition.  The cover is four years old and was custom made for the boat. Trailer, which is enough to get it in and out of the Potomac, is included.  Asking $1,800 but very negotiable, I would like to see it sold to someone who will give it the care I have, it is a very fine old Lightning. A beautiful boat that always turns heads and receives many compliments.

New (2006) Yamaha 4-stroke and brand new (used once) North main sail with hanks are also for sale.

Boat is in a dry slip at Washington Sailing Marina. Slip needs to be renewed by April 30, 2007.
