The 2012 Lightning NA’s and W/J/M’s will be held at Houston Yacht Club in early August. HYC and Texas Lightning District would like to encourage you to consider entering. Houston provides a great sailing venue with racing area immediately off the club in an open bay with afternoon sea breeze. It will be the Worlds qualifier for USA entrants for the 2013 Italy Worlds so you can expect top competition
While there are not a lot of “spare” race ready Lightings in Texas we are putting together a program to facilitate chartering.
If you can meet the dates below for booking and paying for a charter we will aim to make arrangements with owners and guarantee you a boat to sail.
There may be boats available later or you may want to pursue individual charter arrangements but early commitment to this plan will help give you certainty of a competitive boat for this great event
