Bob has been messing around with boats since his childhood in Scotland.  However, interrupted by service in the Indian Army during the war, it wasn’t until 1953 and when he finally settled in Canada the he built his first Lightning #5234.  He has since built #7650 and now spends much of his spare time making masts.  He has been fleet 146 Secretary and Captain, Commodore of the Lake Erie District, a Director of the Canadian Yachting Ass. And Chairman of the C.Y.A. Small boat Committee.
