2022 Lightning Boat Grant Skipper –Sean Hannigan

Sean Hannigan, Allison Hansen, and Teddy Berman met racing on big boats in Charleston Harbor. All three looked for a new opportunity to increase their one design sailing knowledge. After searching, the group set their sights on the Lightning Boat Grant program. Sailing primarily in Charleston, they will be mentored by Lightning Legend, Greg Fisher and former Boat Grant Alumni (2019) and District Governor, Ryan Davidson.

“The tradition has been built over generations, the competition is intimate, and the sailors are one-of-a-kind. We cannot wait to be a part of this inspiring group!” says Sean.
