The International Lightning Class Association is proud to announce the launch of its new web site.  The address remains www.lightningclass.org.  The new site is a beautiful as well as a valuable resource to our Association members.

• The Regatta calendar showcases Lightning events around the world and can provide driving directions to those traveling to sail.  Notices of Race, and Lists of “Who's Coming” are all displayed in the new Calendar format.
• Maps display both locations of ILCA Districts and Fleets as well as and provide contact information in all locales.
• Members and regatta organizers are able to verify membership status on the web site.
• Photo Galleries display regatta pictures in a slide-show format.
• Racing articles and streaming video are available to racers looking to improve their skills.
• Research on the History of the Lightning is possible via articles, yearbooks and video.
• Wooden boat owners have a section of the web site to collaborate and to showcase their restoration projects.
• The Lightning store features logo'd clothing items, class flags, boat plans, and training DVD's and informational brochures.
• Classified Ad listings facilitate the purchase and resale of used boats and equipment.

This new web site is also designed to enable those looking at One-Design boats to learn about the Lightning and fleet activities near them.  We hope to attract more sailors to the Lightning!
