Additional Slots
-3 slots may be awarded by Executive Committee to countries not otherwise represented to foster or expand Lightning interest in those areas.

-If slots remain open, the Executive Committee may award 2 additional slots to the host country's area to further develop Lightning sailing. These slots can be by invitation outside of the qualification regatta process.

Confirmation Deadlines
January 1, 2019 -Countries need to inform the Class Office the number of boats they intend to enter and if they would like to request any additional slots.
January 15, 2019 -Re-Allocate any unused slots.
February 15, 2019 -Countries are required to submit a confirmed list of entrants.
March 1, 2019 -Re-Allocation of any slots not registered.April 1, 2019 -Registration deadline. (Late Fee of$100 begins after this date.
May 15, 2019 -Registration closed.
