We’re looking forward to the Lightning Michigan District Championship this weekend.  I apologize for the additional email, but I have a few guidelines from North Cape Yacht Club to share.  If you’re planning to attend the regatta, please read through the following:

·       A mask must be worn inside the club unless you are seated and eating/drinking.

·       Masks are to be worn outside if there is a crowd.

·       We will have 3 tables setup for registration.  If there is line when you’re waiting to register, please stand 6 feet apart.

·       The Skipper meeting will be outside under the tent in front of the club at 11am on Saturday.

·       Plan accordingly—we are not doing any meals for the event.

·       The bar is open for drink orders.  There are two ordering stations at the bar with plexiglass and there are markings on the floor to space people 6 feet apart when standing in line for a drink. No congregating in the bar area.

·       Tables inside the club and outside have been spaced 6 feet apart.  Please do not move them or sit with a group of more than 10 people.

·       Hand sanitizer is available in various locations in the club.

Don’t forget—if your ILCA membership needs renewing, now is the time!  We’re hoping everyone can take care of this before the regatta as we are trying to limit interactions at registration.  It’s easy to join or renew online at www.lightningclass.org.  Click on “Membership” in the top menu if you’re a new member.  If you’re renewing, click the “Member Login” button.

The Notice of Race is posted.  Please note, due to COVID precautions no meals will be served, but the bar will be open for your post-race Painkiller needs.
