Salt Spring Laser And Lightning Regatta

Salt Spring Island is one of the Gulf Islands on the Canadian side in the strait of Georgia. There's a developing fleet of six Lightnings affectionately known as the "Olde Guys" and are holding their first regatta. If you can make it, they promise billeting with fleet members and some great sailing, along with spectacular scenery in between Vancouver Island and the Mainland. Consider double decking to save some ferry costs. Long Harbour Outstation of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club is located near the end of the protected waters of Long Harbour on Salt Spring Island and offers a broad range of marine and onshore facilities and services. Salt Spring Island: N 48º 51.582' W 123º 27.832' - 0.8 nm past the BC Ferries terminal on the west side of Long Harbour by the launch ramp.
