Final 2 Countries Qualify for 2019 Pan American Games!
 
The last two country qualifying spots were decided at the 2018 South American Championships that were just held in Pucon, Chile January 3-6, 2019. Brazil and Colombia will round out the 8 countries who will compete in the 2019 Pan American Games.  Argentina was first to qualified at the 2017 South American Championship held November 2017 in Salinas, Ecuador. Canada, Chile, Ecuador and the United States all qualified at the 2018 North American Championship held July 2018 in San Diego, CA USA. These teams will join host country Peru in the games to be held August 2019. 6 of the 8 Countries have completed qualifiers and have chosen a representative. See the Selected Athletes to date

Florida Winter Series: (Best 5 races of 4 Regattas)
February 15-17, 2019 - Final tune-up before the Southern Circuit is at the St Petersburg NOOD Regatta - 3 days of racing! St Pete NOOD Information  Options to keep your boat in St Pete prior to the Southern Circuit in March.  We are expecting at least 16 boats - can we make it 20?? 
 
Southern Circuit: (Combined Score over two Regattas in one week) 
 
March 17-19, 2019 - Mid-Winter Championship in Miami! Check out the Drone Footage from last years regatta - you don't want to miss this! 
 
March 20-23, 2019 - Master and Winter Championships - We return to St Petersburg to see who will be crowned the 2019 Southern Circuit Champions. Hotel block information is posted.

The Mentor Program is Back! 
 
Nick Turney is coming back to lead the Mentor Program! This program offers a week long learning opportunity on and off the water. Program participants are teamed up with a mentor to help you during the week. In addition, Nick leads morning briefings, personal one-on-one debriefs and is out on the water during racing to help participants on a special program only VHF Channel. Teams must REGISTER for the program. For more information or to REGISTER check out the event calendar listing in the ILCA Event Calendar.

Steketee Trophy Awarded to Pontiac Yacht Club - Fleet 54!
The Executive Committee is excited to announce that Michigan District, Fleet 54 - Pontiac Yacht Club is the 2018 recipient of the Steketee Trophy. The Steketee Trophy is awarded to a North American Fleet who is outstanding in furthering the purpose of the ILCA in promoting and developing racing. Fleet 54 put forth an extraordinary team effort in hosting the LARGEST Women's, Junior and Masters' North American Championships to date. Their dedication and support of the Class is genuine and from the heart. They re-emphasized that the Class is about family, friends and a shared passion for Lightning sailing.
