The Fuel The Flash 2030 fundraising campaign is going strong in 2026. Our goal is to raise $800,000 to support its 7 key initiatives and power the Class to its 100th Birthday. Each year we plan to have a series of raffles, a matching challenge and lots of opportunities for people to give.
In 2026 we have a $50,000 Super Match Challenge. Two donors – one anonymous and the other the Audrey and Peter Denton Family Foundation – are each contributing $25,000 to the challenge. To receive the $50,000, we need to have at least 350 donors and at least $25,000 in qualifying donations. Donations qualify by being larger than what you have given in the past.
It’s a Super Challenge because each donation is effectively multiplied by four! For example, if you give $100, the Class receives your $100, and also receives $100 from each of the matching partners. It might only cost you $75 after taxes but the Class gets $300 – four times the impact! A US tax law change for 2026 and beyond allows donations up to $1000 to be deductible even if you do not itemize your deductions.
In addition, if you make a multi-year pledge to the campaign, one half of pledge amounts in future years (2027-2030) will also count towards the match. Please document your intentions for multiple years or for just this year, using this pledge form.
As of end-May, we have 72 donors in 2026; we need a lot more people to donate to earn the $50,000.
So far in 2026 we have raised $140,712. Including 2025, Fuel The Flash 2030 total in hand thru May 31, 2026 is $526,469.
We’re currently holding two Rock Starck Raffles. Winner gets private coaching from Dave Starck or Jody Starck. Tickets are now $20 each, 3 for $50. U32 buyers get an extra ticket for free! Winning tickets will be drawn at the Canadian Open trophy presentation in Buffalo on July 12. We have raised $3075 with 2 weeks to go. Buy tickets here or in Buffalo.
Earlier this year we raised $760 in the Hilton Hotel rooms raffle, and $3000 in the Shave Bob’s Beard auction. Later this summer we will have two 50/50 raffles. One will start with online sales in early July. Tickets will be sold in person and the winning ticket drawn at the WJMs in Milwaukee August 8. We’ll have a separate 50/50 raffle in August with the drawing at the NAs banquet in Sheboygan August 14.
