Notice of Meetings

A Governing Board Meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 1130 at the St Petersburg Yacht Club.

Two items are up for vote.
The first is a Temporary Amendment to the Document Governing All Sanctioned Lightning Class Championships. It would allow skippers competing in the 2019 Pam American Games the ability to sail in the Championship Fleet at the 2019 North American Championship without sailing in the Qualifying Series. This is proposed because of a scheduling conflict where the participants could not travel to the NAs in time to sail the Qualifying Series. This will not affect the normal allocation for the number of participants in the Blue Fleet.
Temporary Amendment #1

The Second Amendment to the Document Governing All Sanctioned Lightning Class Championships has been proposed to clarify the intent of Article XIII – Racing Conditions, Paragraph 2 of Section B
Amendment #2

All Governing Board Members (Executive Committee, Vice Presidents and District Commodores), have been emailed a Proxy Ballot according to the Class By-Laws.  We ask for ballots to be returned by Monday, March 18. If you are a Governing Board Member and have not received the Proxy Ballot Email please contact the Class Office as soon as possible.

The Annual Meeting of Members will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 1730 at the St Petersburg Yacht Club.

No items are up for vote.

-----------------
If you would like to be added to the agenda or if you have something to share during either meeting, please send a request or short written report to Class Secretary Jeffers by Monday, March 11th to office@lightningclass.org or contact Class President Todd Wake at president@lightningclass.org

Please note that Personal and Fleet Dues must be current in order to vote.
