2020 North American Championship!
Save the date! August 9-15
NA participants will need to qualify through their 2020 District Championship Regatta.
Registration will open March 1st and will be limited to the first 100 boats that meet the eligibility requirement as stated in the NOR.
This regatta will serve as the US qualifier for the 2021 World Championship that is scheduled for May 13-22, 2021, Carolina Yacht Club, Wrightsville Beach, NC.
24 Boats are registered for St Pete so far -
we know of MANY MORE that are planning to come.

Thursday, March 26th - Travel Day - Drive to Savannah YC ~ 6 hour Drive. Registration TBA

Winter Meeting Notice
A Governing Board Meeting will take place on Saturday, March 21 at 1230 at the St Petersburgh Yacht Club.
No items are up for vote.
The Annual Winter Meeting of Members will take place on Saturday, March 21 at the St Petersburgh Yacht Club, immediately following the Competitors Meeting at 5:30pm in the Ballroom.

- March 15, 2020: Each Lightning National Class Association or National Authority shall inform the ILCA class office of the specific competitors that will represent their country.
- April 15, 2020: Completed registration forms must be returned with the entry fee and damage deposit to the ILCA class office.

* Brazil is holding it's Youth Qualifiers in a few weeks and there are 7 teams participating! 3 will be representing BRA in Sheboygan.
*Ecuador just held a Youth Clinic this past weekend with 6 Skippers Sailing.
30th Anniversary Salinas Tomine Regatta
With consistency Team Uscategui wins the 30th Annual Regatta. Team Team Santos wins race 5 to solidify second and Team Tamayo won race 6 to move into third. Team Jacob finished just a few points back for fourth. Team Lecaro rounded out the top 5. Paula Douat was the top female and Matias Castillo was the youngest sailor. Great racing in Colombia! The 30th Anniversary Series will continue in May 2020 in Salinas, Ecuador. Full Results
Helly Hensen St Petersburg NOOD
Team Starck wins Lightning division and was selected as the overall NOOD Champion! This was great publicity for the Lightnings. Lightnings were also the largest one design class represented in the regatta with 23 boats. Team Faude won a tie breaker for 2nd over Tanner Probst and his team. This was a great conclusion to the Florida Winter Series and prelude to the Southern Circuit in March. Full Results
Florida Winter Series: Veggie Sub Wins Overall
Team Proctor wins the FL Winter Series with just 9 points. Team Bauman moved into second after the 4th and final regatta. Team Schneider finishes third. 44 teams participated in the series!

Monthly E-mail Blasts on the 15th of each month.
Deadline is 7 days prior to the e-mail date.
During busier months (June, July and August) we will also add a second monthly blast on the 1st of each month.
