Eight Bells... Tom Varley
A stalwart of the Lightning class for more than five decades, passed away February 12th in Mansfield, Ohio.

Since joining Mansfield Sailing Club in the nineties, Tom mentored and encouraged the members of Lightning Fleet 150 so that they became more competitive and better sailors. He took the initiative in starting the Bare Bones Regatta, now in its twenty-seventh year. He had many friends in the Ohio District and surrounding states and they will miss him greatly. He died too young.
