It's Fall Sailing Time!
In North America Fall Sailing is just beginning. The weather is starting to cool off and the leaves will soon begin to fall. In many places, Fall Sailing is the best time for wind! Be sure to take advantage of these opportunities and get out in your boat!

SOUTH AMERICAN LIGHTNING LAB: 
October 13-14, 2018
Algarrobo, Chile

Teams will engage in a weekend of Lightning training lead by 2016 North American Champions, ILCA Class President Todd Wake and his wife Kristine Wake. 
Areas of training will include:
- Fine tunning
- Sail Trim
- Boat handling
- Videos recording and post sail debriefing.
- Crew prospective training 

Boats and lodging for International crews can be arranged ahead of time!

If you are an International Team with interest in attending the weekend of Lightning training, please contact Cristobal Perez with your interest. 
Bids for 2021 Worlds: 
 
Reminder: 

We are looking for a Club in North America with the fleet and district support necessary to meet the challenge of hosting first class International Master and World Championship events!

So, put your best team together and construct a bid for this prestigious international event!

Bids for the 2021 International Master and World Championships will be accepted by the Class Office up until 12/31/2018. 

A Bid Review Committee of 5 members, none of which will be affiliated with the Clubs bidding, will review the proposals and ask for any necessary clarification between January 1, 2019 and February 15, 2019.

The Bid Review Committee will make a final presentation to the ILCA Executive Committee with recommendations no later than March 1, 2019. The Executive Committee will formally award the Championship by March 15, 2019.
